Unmanned Planes Converted to Climate Scouts

unmanned aircraft

Well rather than developing weapon kits to Warheads, This happening makes me sense that Humans have at-last turned to Save Nature. Two UAV from US Military has been converted for NASA's Research on Earth's Environment with New Mission name "Global Hawk Pacific".

OVI (Nokia) is more than just an App Store

OVI Suite is the PC Application, I found with my new gadget Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. Like a Nokia PC Suite Application, OVI Suite connects with the Mobile and Sync Data and Look for Application Updates, etc. OVI is also an Application with Nokia 5800. Basically its a App Store, that lets you download applications for the Mobile Phone.
Of Course, what's the need for this Special Application, Well i had the same question ! But i got an Answer. Recently Nokia announced contests like Calling All Innovators 2009 Contest and Also Nokia supported some pre-defined applications for its Mobile like Nokia Maps, Nokia Music Store, etc. In-Order to group all platforms, Nokia announced Internet Service through OVI by May 2009. This includes major application that's specially developed for Nokia Mobile Phones. For example, Application to Encrypt and Decrypt Emails, SMS, MMS, and Any kind files are included. Also Applications for Code locking Features of the Mobile Phone Gateways, which keeps the Owner secured in all the way he uses the Mobile phone. OVI operates through securing an Single Sign-On (SSO) Account with OVI Suite.

Like Online purchase with eBay, OVI Suite also support purchase over internet, through online payment, either through PC or Nokia Mobile and Can be Installed to the Mobile Phone, once connected with the PC.

Paro, a Mind Optimizer !

Paro is a Baby Seal and a product designed by Takanori Shibata of National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) of Japan. Well Baby Seal cannot be a Product, But its a Mind Healing Robot stuff. Every Baby is a Mind Optimizer for their parents and Grandparents. And Hope you all get the meaning of Title. So this is the theme, A cute little Baby Seal that heals psychological diseases.

The Most usual thing that we used to find with elder people was Dementia and Autism in Children. Dementia is a Cognitive Disorder that makes distress in understanding things and Autism is the Disorder of Neural Development. The recent research reveals that this Therapeutic Robot diminish Dementia and Autism. Paro is replica of Harp Seals commonly found in Northern part of Canada. This picture is below.

It look cute rite..! Paro can attract almost anyone of its surroundings. Paro is a Robot that shows emotions such as happiness, surprise and snger by swinging its tail and blinking its eyes in response with the Touch Sensing attributed through Tactile sensors. Paro also makes the sounds similar to cute little baby seals. One step beyond the above senses, It responds to sound and learn the name as conveyed by its Owner. Paro behaves very similar to Seals and even sleeps at night and active in the morning.

Technically, This robot is automated through Two - 32Bit RISC Microprocessor, can also be called as ARM Processor. After profound practical experiments conducted both in Japan and United States, It was finally revealed that Paro implants positive energy in elder people psychologically. Paro was also classified to various versions depending on the Handler of the Robot either elder group of people or group of children.

This Baby Seal Robot is being used in Hospitals, Counseling centers, Official Buildings to create center of attraction and Optimize human brains if under stress. Hope this is a Cute Pet for Elders and Children. In the world, no-time for love for Elders and Children being left alone, this is Great Mind Refresher. Write me comments on Paro.

What if RFID, A minature CPU !?

http://spectrum.ieee.org/image/57733

Of course, Its a CPU based on Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) Chip. If you still don't believe it, I have a proof. Scientists from University of Massachusetts are working on a Software that enables the computational capability of New RFID Chip. It was named "Memento", in accordance with the film "Memento" released in the year 2000. The Hero of this movie tries to reveal the mystery of his wife's death, with his rebooting brain for every five minutes. The same happens with the RFID. "We are working on software to make it possible to actually compute , given that our power is to be disappearing and reappearing" says Kevin Fu, Assistant Professor of computer science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

The new RFID Chip "Memento" carry 16Mhz Microprocessor, 512 Bytes of RAM and 8KBs of flash storage. It was Intel's prototype Wireless Identification and Sensing Platform (WISP), Kevin Fu and his work mates was using to develop their RFID Computing Software. To make it clear, The RFID doesn't carry any software and It was the computer software that makes the RFID to calibrate. So generally, a master computer can share the processing with this RFID Chip. The "Memento" is operated with three varying power stages.

1. Sleep - 0.2 - 2.5microwatts
2. Mid Range - 1.8 - 3.6mW - Performs read and Calibrations.
3. Active Range - 2.2 - 25.2mW - Perform Write operation in Flash memory.

Thinking on the purpose of this design, This new design can perform Cryptographic Calibrations in order to secure the data that it sends and receives in fine time. So what-else we can do with this "Memento" ! Every computer can be connected to network, "Memento" is too a Computer that can be used to perform network operations like PAN with the extension of applications to Smart Cloths, Appliances, etc.. Write me comment, about what we can do with this New Technology.
