Learn with Migration, I mean it !

I was hired by my friend, to help him migrate from his Windows Notebook to Mac-book Pro. The migration is not so easy i believed. Also this is my first job with a MAC-Book. I have a good sense in stuff that can help this migration. MAC OS X is Unix based operating system and many would easily believe that its not user-friendly. But MAC OS is user-friendly, more than Windows OS could do. It was also said that MAC OS has some strong UNIX foundation, so that virus and vulnerability for hacking are minimized. Usually i wouldn't agree with these statements given by any company but the price it costs to buy MACBook and my work with MAC OS, made me think that, it could be possible. The migration might need set of softwares and Hands-On work with Mac-book to make the migration complete.

Mac-book Pro has a specially designed hardware which supports MAC OS X alone. Though it sounds wired, MAC OS X has a solution too. Apple MAC allows us to install and work with Windows Operating systems that includes Windows 7 on new specs. The MACBook Pro runs on 64-Bit processor and The problems i faced in searching for softwares that can run on 64-Bit processor. I am sure the Mac-book Pro also assist in running software on 32-Bit mode. BootCamp, MACFuse, Email Conversion Softwares, etc are my tools. It took a week for me to complete the migration from Email Conversion to Windows OS Installation. Let me know if you need me to assist in this migration.

Of Course, what's the need for this Special Application, Well i had the same question ! But i got an Answer. Recently Nokia announced contests like Calling All Innovators 2009 Contest and Also Nokia supported some pre-defined applications for its Mobile like Nokia Maps, Nokia Music Store, etc. In-Order to group all platforms, Nokia announced Internet Service through OVI by May 2009. This includes major application that's specially developed for Nokia Mobile Phones. For example, Application to Encrypt and Decrypt Emails, SMS, MMS, and Any kind files are included. Also Applications for Code locking Features of the Mobile Phone Gateways, which keeps the Owner secured in all the way he uses the Mobile phone. OVI operates through securing an Single Sign-On (SSO) Account with OVI Suite.

Like Online purchase with eBay, OVI Suite also support purchase over internet, through online payment, either through PC or Nokia Mobile and Can be Installed to the Mobile Phone, once connected with the PC.

What if RFID, A minature CPU !?

Of course, Its a CPU based on Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) Chip. If you still don't believe it, I have a proof. Scientists from University of Massachusetts are working on a Software that enables the computational capability of New RFID Chip. It was named "Memento", in accordance with the film "Memento" released in the year 2000. The Hero of this movie tries to reveal the mystery of his wife's death, with his rebooting brain for every five minutes. The same happens with the RFID. "We are working on software to make it possible to actually compute , given that our power is to be disappearing and reappearing" says Kevin Fu, Assistant Professor of computer science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

The new RFID Chip "Memento" carry 16Mhz Microprocessor, 512 Bytes of RAM and 8KBs of flash storage. It was Intel's prototype Wireless Identification and Sensing Platform (WISP), Kevin Fu and his work mates was using to develop their RFID Computing Software. To make it clear, The RFID doesn't carry any software and It was the computer software that makes the RFID to calibrate. So generally, a master computer can share the processing with this RFID Chip. The "Memento" is operated with three varying power stages.

1. Sleep - 0.2 - 2.5microwatts
2. Mid Range - 1.8 - 3.6mW - Performs read and Calibrations.
3. Active Range - 2.2 - 25.2mW - Perform Write operation in Flash memory.

Thinking on the purpose of this design, This new design can perform Cryptographic Calibrations in order to secure the data that it sends and receives in fine time. So what-else we can do with this "Memento" ! Every computer can be connected to network, "Memento" is too a Computer that can be used to perform network operations like PAN with the extension of applications to Smart Cloths, Appliances, etc.. I own Nokia 5800 Xpress Music !

Here's my New Gadget that's a Smart Phone with Touch Screen, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, 8Giga's of Music, Bluetooth, 3G, Accelerometer and more fun inside... I bought this Smart Phone with a great deal from COMEX 2009. To Get start with this Phone, Let me start with the feature i like the most in it. Nokia Maps with A-GPS (Assisted GPS) is the feature i like the most in this phone. This is the first GPS device i handle. I helps lot in my travel. I can choose the destination and Nokia Maps shows me the shortest path from the place i stand. Map downloading from Nokia Site consumes more bytes thorugh GSM Network. But with the Wi-Fi feature, I downloaded the Maps from My Home Internet and I can move out without consuming my GPRS Bytes.

Coming to other features, It runs with Symbian OS S60. This is the First Touch Screen of Nokia equipped with S60 OS, Code Named - "Tube". Camera is the important feature of Hand Phone nowadays. This Phone is equipped with Two Camera's one at the Front for Video Calls and Other at the Back Side for making Digital Photo. Unlike other phones, any of the two cameras can be switched for both Picture Capture and Video Calls.

FaceBook and Youtube are the othe flash enabled apps that helps to post and View links and Videos within the phone. I was looking for a “First Person Shooter” Game and at last i found a Brand Game from EA Games and I tried those games in my new Notebook. BattleField is the Award winning Game developed be EA Digital Illusions CE and Published by EA Games. From 2002 there were 6 Versions has been released till this year. BattleField 1942, BattleField Vietnam, BattleField 2, BattleField 2: Modern Combat, BattleField 2142, BattleField: Bad Company and BattleField Heroes. The older versions were is designed for Windows based PC’s and MAC OS. But nowadays new versions are available for XBOX 360, Play Station 3 game consoles.

I tried all the PC version of these games except BattleField : Bad Company and BattleField : Heroes and Hoping to try them soon in my new Workstation. In the above games listed, BattleField 2 and BattleField 2142 are the games in own them more than other. The Game map is classified as 16 Player and 32 Player map. In the game except me all other players are simulated by computer. The Weapons and Army Shooting vehicles were really mind blowing and version or grade of Weapons were coming better in new versions.

Its i make my guarantee, that the game brings BattleField Environment in front of our eyes and Let us become on of the fighting army as Commander, Engineer, Assistant, etc. Also they let us choose team for TeamPlay and each move of the Player is monitored and Score are awarded accordingly. The Startup video of the game with Music in it, was just like a game built by an Army Men. I will never ever uninstall this game from my Workstation. I am waiting for the next BattleField…!

After long days, I am back on eDoDe with my First and Brand New Laptop. Stylish Black, Energy Efficient Notebook makes me proud in my work. DDR3 RAM is very finest thing of this Notebook. I played this game recently in my PC and with my special interest i was able to cover 5 BlackList Members in just 10hrs. The Game was really mind blowing. Like the Movie "The Fast and The Furious", It has got some missions to complete.

The Police chase is one of the best design i have ever seen. The City designed for the Game is quiet large and every race happens within the city or around. Its a Device capable of emitting light, that posses the properties of diode. i have chosen this title as i have read an article in one of my electronics magazine. In past days, an White LED is commonly used and for exhibiting colors, the plastic mount is pigmented to the color it has to emit. But nowadays with the outcome of R&D, alternation in chemical composition makes the LED glow in different colors.


Also i got a confusion in choosing the title. So i included both the Titles for this post. But Actually both are true statments. Believe it or not LED will have bright future which will also makes our Future Bright.

I fond of Google Search and this is the New product of Google. Google Trends - Let you learn new trends from the top most search queries. Believe it or not this product is really helpful for Internet based Jobs and Specifically Blogging Business. Also it let you search your query and shows how far the same query search has been done before. This query is graphically shown with "Search Volume Index against PDT(Pacific Daylight Time)", So Google Search usage for specific query could be understood from this.

Solar Cells for Life !

Its a Fact that Maximized Production will lead to lesser cost of the products. This happens same with the Solar Cells too. Few years back the Production was less and The Cost of Solar Cell was High. Even i have thought about Solar Cell is just for power supply and I cant afford much of cost on Solar Cell for my Low Cost Hobby Projects. This is not the case now.

I can assure, it is 10% lesser cost now than it was a Year Back. Flexible Solar Cell is the new trend in Solar Cell research. Flexible Cells were fabricated as a Trial near Melbourne. As per CSIRO report, they expect 100Kilometres of Solar Sheet to be printed every day. As Flexible as its structure, It is too flexible to adopt any Place like - Roof Top, Window Covers, Can replace Glasses in Sky crapers, Can be mounted over Vehicle's Skin, and places where ever we need power. I can Help you trace an Email Spammer...!

Nowadays, I find a Great Joy of finding Email Spammers. Few days back, my Friend had to come across a Spammer who is capable of creating an email id with any domain. For Example - "username@microsoft.com". As my Friend requested i tried to trace his IP and Location. I went on Googleing. At last i found a two Great Web pages that can help to retrieve IP address of the sender and even his domain.

• IPLIGENCE
• DNSCHART

Using IPLIGENCE you can trace the IP address of the sender and the Server location. Then using DNSCHART, you can trace the Domain of the Server. If the Domain Name of server is Well Known like Google.com, Microsoft.com, Etc, Its a non other than a Good mail or Spam Free mail, But if the Domain of the server is Different from the Domain of the email, then Its a Spam mail. See My Video Tutorial about how to Trace IP Address using IPLIGENCE in Gmail Account. Then after getting the IP address, you can use Free Tools of IPLIGENCE to get the Geo-Location of the Domain Server.

Then coming to DNSCHART, you can copy the IP address of the Server from which the Email has been sent, and paste it into the WHOIS IP text box and Submit the request. Now the entire Details of the Server will be shown, as requested. From the Details, Using Domain name, we can find whether an Email is Spam or not. If the email is found to be Spam, Its Good to report the Server Admin, whose Email ID will be one among the Details that his server has been Misused.

One easy way to find Spammer is to replying him with a Blank Email. If the Email Bounces back to you, Its a Spam Mail, and If not, its a Spam Free email. But be sure in Clicking links directly from Email.

If you see a link in an Email, Move the mouse pointer to the link, in Most of the Browsers, while passing mouse pointer over the link, shows the Exact link in the Status bar of the Browser. So if the link is as same as in the Actualy Link text, its authorized to go through that link.

I recently came across some Advertisements on Motion Gaming in Sony Ericsson Mobile Phones. I am really surprised about how these motion gaming works. Then after a long search through web, I found a Chip that is capable of sensing motion on an object.

The above box like picture is not an Actual box but an Integrated Circuit of size 3x5x0.9mm dimension. So the actual size of this Chip is less than a 10Cents Coin. I hope you all could realize it. This Chip detects up-to 6 Positions or 3 Orthogonal Directions. This Chip was manufactured by STMicroelectronics. The datasheet of this IC is in this link.

Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone F305 introduces Motion Gaming. Although this is a new technology for consumers, Its become an usual complaint that these Motion Gaming Consumes more battery power. Thieves will Step Back from My Laptop... U believe that!?

I was thinking about how come i feel, if i lose my Laptop. So i went on Googling. I found a software program at last. The Program is some sort of ordinary application, But Capable of Capturing Picture from Laptop WebCam, Map the IP address and Location and Upload the Whole data to its server, whenever the Laptop is switched ON and Connected to Internet. Actually i didnt believe these things initially, but This was an Academic Research Project of University of Washington.


Let me tell you the Name of this System. Its Adeona . This is an Open Source System free for all Laptop users. This Project consists of a Server, that records all the Incoming data from Laptops that use Adeona Application. This Application is not only used for Laptops but also PDA's, Smart Phones. Once the Application is installed into the Laptop, it will start tracing all the information and Upload it to the server, even whn the Laptop owner has it.

But If it is stolen once, then the User can see all the Informations in the Adeona Server with some Login informations. Hope this idea is Great. Also i was a Member of Adeona Group in GoogleGroups. It was said that this Application works good with MAC Laptops but in case of Windows OS driven Laptops shows some failures in working and Uploading informations to the Server. I strongly believe that this Research project will gave give a Good outcome and Let us all wish for it.

Google has introduced a Webmaster tool, specifically for Analyzing Your website Crawl informations, that includes Graphical Analysis, Geological Location, Time and Length of Visit, Visitor Information, Their IP addresses, Entry and Exit pages, lots more... Once you register your website details with Google Analytics, it provides some code to be included in our Website code. So at each time when the Website loads in certain location, This code os capable of gathering information from the User and Reports to the Google Analytics page time by time. Also these analysis helps us to promot the Blog or Website, through location. You can go to that page just by Clicking on the Above picture. New HD Media Player for TV...

Recently I was visited an Exhibition held in Singapore. There they got lot of New Gadgets and Let me Introduce a new Hardware that works as a Media player to the Television we have. The Hardware was produced my Western Digital Company.

The Hardware was Named as HD TV Media Player. HD means the Hard Disk, yes it works like an External Hard Disk of your computer and also which allows you to Record Videos from Television Directly without using a special devices like in computers. This Hardware is connected with Television using a Special cable called HDMI Cable. High Definition Multimedia Interface is the expansion for HDMI. Using this setup one can record Videos from TV Directly to you the Hard Disk. Also it has USB support which allows the End-User to Copy the Movie file into the PC or else Movie from PC. The Movie from PC can be copied to the HD TV Media Player and can br played back on Television like commercial DVD players.
